Life & Mission

Saint John Bosco, commonly known as Don Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest who dedicated his life to the education and welfare of young people. Born on 16 August 1815 near Turin, Italy, he overcame poverty and many hardships to pursue education.

Deeply moved by the struggles of poor and abandoned children, he founded youth centres and educational institutions that provided shelter, guidance, and vocational training.

His educational philosophy, known as the Preventive System, was built upon Reason, Religion, and Loving Kindness, helping countless young people become responsible citizens.
